Axe-Fx II recording setup in Logic Pro X

Hi,

I am having difficulties in setting my new used Axe Fx II with my DAW (Logic). I am going straight to Mac from Axe's USB output and Logic does recognize Axe as an interface which I have selected as both input and output. However, when playing the recorded track, I can only hear the DI sound. Based on what I have been reading, there are probably some i/o settings wrong, but I havent been able to do anything to correct the issue.

Please let me know how to proceed. Thanks!

From the Axe-Fx II manual page 20:
“The onboard digital outs can monitor OUTPUT1, OUTPUT2, or the main INPUT, as specified in USB/DIGI OUT SOURCE on the AUDIO page of the I/O menu (p. 148).”

Check to make sure you have it set for OUTPUT1.

I have to say that I don't understand this at all.

Press the I/O button on the Axe-FX II front panel.
Use the Page buttons to get to the AUDIO page.
Use the arrows to select USB/DIGI OUT SOURCE.
Ensure it is set to OUTPUT1.

Amazing! This works, thank you so much!

Inputs 1 & 2 in Logic are your processed signal from the Axe Fx. Use Inputs 3 & 4 for an additional track and you'll get your dry signal for Reamping later.
