Almost NGD…

I have... But I only waited about 4-6 hours.

Consider the weather outside and inside.

It's been in a local warehouse and/or truck for hours before it got to you... Depending on where you are the "climate" might be similar.

In winter, I would probably wait longer.

Is it a a nitro finish? Nitro can crack in extreme temperature changes. If it's not nitro finish, I doubt I would wait 24 hours...

They've also got a fulfillment warehouse in Arizona too, so not everything comes from Indiana. West coast orders are probably more likely to come from Arizona. Instruments might all come from Indiana since they do their inspections and setups and such though.

A buddy of mine in high school back in the 80’s got a brand new Fender Lead II from Music Emporium, now Musicians Friend in the winter. Opened it up as soon as he got it and the finish was “crackled”. Looked like some of the new antiqued finishes you see now. I have read that is how some of the relic processes work. The body is put in a freezer for several hours then taken out to crack the finish.

This never makes sense to me. Do you think the Sweewater warehouse is climate controlled? I bet that it is.
It then goes on a Fedex truck......is it climate controlled? I bet not!
I always open them after about an hour or two only if it is really extreme cold or hot.

Last week I ignored this message and opened the package... Last thing I remember was the gorgeous finish on the guitar before I found myself in the hospital. Apparently the guitar spontaneously combusted due to humidity difference between Sweetwater warehouse and my home studio. True story! Part of high E string stuck into my eyebrow. Always wanted eyebrow piercing anyway.

Hope you are okay!
