active cab or speakers

As my kids have grown up and gone to bed later, I want to move out of headphones and start feeling the music. I doubt I will ever play out but enjoy feeling the air move in my small guitar room of 10x12 ft.. I am trying to decide whether to get some smaller speakers like the Equators or Atomic CLR. I have aprox. $1000.

Good smaller speakers it is then. No need for 500w in home use, and it is big too. And you need two for stereo awesomeness.
