Hi there,

the release notes say that global blocks are not supported by AE for now.
What does that mean for the people (like me) that have some global blocks in their presets?

Stay away from AE at all? (Too late for me )
Only do preset operations but avoid grid operations?
Move blocks in the grid but avoid editing blocks at all?
Edit blocks, move blocks, but avoid editing the ones linked to globals? (That's what I guess).

??????

It means that you can not manage global block slots. But the data is preserved. You can load and edit and save your presets without damage to the global blocks data.

last night I changed amp type [from Herbert ch3 to VH4ch4] in the amp2 block
both of my amps blocks are linked globals
having made the change in preset 1 via AE and saved the preset, my other 7 presets that have amp2 linked to the same global: amp2 were also updated..

so at least this particular aspect of global blocks appears [from what I can see] to be functioning normally..

Yek - does the non-support for globals mean that you have to link / un-link etc from the front panel?

Global Blocks will be fully supported.
For now, you have nothing to worry about.
