I agree...you definatly can hear everything much better and I think that is good, makes my technique much better. I would love to try some of the EVM12Ls out but they are awfully pricey.....maybe I will as soon as I save a bit more money lol

Hey all, I am a new owner of the Axe Fx 2, recieved it a coupe hours ago. First impressions are simply amazing. I am actually playing it through Behringer Truth monitors and it even makes those sound good for guitar. I find it much more tube like in feel and sound, much easier to get around on...

ok, I have had the 1531 for a few days now. They take a bit of tweaking if you were previously set up with a tube poweramp and guitar cabs but the tone is there. You get some serious air movement with the cab like a guitar cab and its very loud. I brought down some of the highs with the eq on...

hey, well I almost bought a Rivera poweramp but I could not get the guy to end the sale on ebay early so I went with the sla-2 to see how that works to start with ;-) thanks again guys

thanks for all of the info guys, I think part of it may be a mind thing...you get so used to the boutique head and cab for the sound and you have to be open enough to think that something else might be better

man, you guys are convincing...seriously though, thank you for all of the input....Can I get these kind of high gain tones from the standard or does it have to be the Ultra? I do have a bit of a budget, could either be a good tube power amp and the standard or a ss pamp and the ultra? I'm not...

i think you're right, I guess I already know that I want the axe-fx, just some confirming of my thoughts about the true high gain tone sounds from users make it easier to part with the money :D

i think that is why I have held on to my fireball and sold the Ultra Lead, the fireball was much better at lower volumns
