Axe-FX NAME TIMEOUT!

The Dreaded AXE-FX NAME TIMEOUT! I am also having this issue. I have only used my Axe-FX a few times and always just in my home Studio. I have never had an issue until I upgraded the firmware on both units last night. I have read every post on every thread about this and nothing has worked...

Carvin TRx12N, any one?

For some reason, there are a lot of anti-Carvin people. I haven't tried all of their stuff obviously, but 90% of the things I have used (and still do) are outstanding. I think some people will always believe that if it costs more, it must be better.

I just hooked mine up for the first time and I have to say I AM PLEASANTLY SURPRISED! I think I am going to try the directivity mod, but wow - for the price, I am very happy. Oh, and they cranked pretty dang loud, too.

Carvin 112AG Speaker Cabinets

After playing Strats and PRS's my whole life, I sold them all in favor of Carvin CT6 guitars. They are fantastic instruments. I also use a lot of other Carvin gear and it is top notch. I guess it depends on what you buy.

Which foot controller should I buy?

How easy/hard was it to configure? Some of these sync up quite nicely, whole others require extensive tweaking/programming. I'd rather not spend a lot of time setting it up, if it's a temporary fix, you know?

Thanks for the responses! It is a difficult process. One one hand, I think the Ground Control offers the best bang for the buck, but part of me says I shouldn't cut corners to save a few dollars - especially if I end up thinking I should have bought a Liquid-Foot or an All Access or the...

Ideal ground controller of my dreams for A-FX...

i agree! i am still using my Vetta II since I am nowhere near ready to debut my Ultra - especially since I haven't decided on a foot controller - and I like the functionality and layout of the longboard. I really like the dual pedal integration as well.

I'm not sure what you are able to get price-wise, but i can get 2 of the carvin monitors, plus a stereo amp for less than the cost of ONE powered Verve.

tried to do some metalcore stuff...HIT or SHIT!?

NICE! I loved the tone as well. I'm a former drummer and even I thought the drums were a bit loud. If you could back the drums down a tad, the guitar would fatten up even more. just my 2¢

How long to fill orders currently?

OK- I am going to answer my own question. I ordered my Ultra late last night (4/6). I got the confirmation and tracking # this morning. It is scheduled to arrive Thursday 4/9. Oh yeah. OH YEAH!

Yes, they are made from baltic-birch plywood. The top-end of Carvins P.A. cabs utilize B&C drivers. I'm pretty sure all of the TRX series do. Unfortunately, I have owned more crappy P.A. gear than I would ever care to admit, but the high-end Carvin stuff is hard to beat. Inexpensive does...

A great FRFR option?
