    Global Parametric eq

I asked for something similar recently, so I'm all for it :D viewtopic.php?f=29&t=15773

Turn PEQ on/off with Global Cab (old: PEQ in Cab block)

Re: Parametric EQ in Cab block Guys, Thanks for the passionate discussion, but my original request was really more about a utility function - the ability to turn the PEQ on and off globally together with the Cab block. Nothing really to do with the quality of Cab IR's in the Axe. The logic...

Turn PEQ on/off with Global Cab (old: PEQ in Cab block)

Re: Parametric EQ in Cab block So do you mean that in order to globally change the value, I'd go into the I/O menu and change the initial value of the external? Thanks

Turn PEQ on/off with Global Cab (old: PEQ in Cab block)

Re: Parametric EQ in Cab block Wouldn't you have to toggle the assigned IA on every patch, though? At least that's how it would work on my MIDIMate. I was thinking about a global on/off, piggybacking on the Cab on/off, that would let the user set the status, well, globally... Apologies if I'm...

Turn PEQ on/off with Global Cab (old: PEQ in Cab block)

I'd like to suggest adding a PEQ to the Cab block. The PEQ will be used for tone shaping when using FRFR, and will be turned on and off globally together with the Cab blocks on all presets. The idea is that when using the Axe with a guitar cab, this FRFR-specific PEQ will be turned off together...

I have a Port City 1x12 with a Warehouse Guitar Speakers Retro 30 (amp is ART SLA-1.) I really like it.

Whats everyone using for a foot controller???

I have a question for Ernie Ball JR users: Using it as a wah controller, I find that most of the wah "action" happens across a very short range of pedal travel. How do you get around that? Thanks

    Question about boost

Is there a difference between the turning on amp boost (which is non MIDI assignable) and inserting a 12db clean boost before the amp (which is?) Ran a search but couldn't really find the answer. Thanks

    SLA1 - 8 or 16 ohms to avoid blowing up a 60W rated speaker?

The rig actually sounded fantastic right until I blew the speaker. I had the Axe on a Dr Z patch and added a little OD when it happened. Gotta be a little more careful with the volume.

    SLA1 - 8 or 16 ohms to avoid blowing up a 60W rated speaker?

I had one speaker in the cab. I guess I need to keep an eye on the volume - the band was exceptionally loud that evening...

    SLA1 - 8 or 16 ohms to avoid blowing up a 60W rated speaker?

Hi all, I just blew the WGS Veteran 30 I was using with my Axe and SLA1 (bridged.) The speaker was rated 60W / 8 ohms, and as I really liked it, was wondering if getting a 16 ohm version would reduce the chance of blowing up again? Thanks

    Axe vs. Fuchs ODS 50

Thanks for the comments, guys. I run the Axe into an SLA1, and then into a Port City 1x12 with a WGS Vintage 30 clone in it. Amp sims are on and cab sims are off. I can get a great clean sound using the Brownface sim, but the Fuchs has this clarity that I can't seem to capture with my setup...

    Axe vs. Fuchs ODS 50

If anyone knows how to make the Axe sound like the clean channel on the ODS 50, PLEASE let me know :o I love my Axe, but the Fuchs is an amazing amp

Speaker recommendation for Port City 1x12 / SLA1?

Hi all, I recently got a Port City 1x12 and put a Jensen Tornado in it. To my ears, it sounds kinda flat and dark  , so I was wondering what different speakers people were using in similar setups. Thanks

    Tips For Strats

I have a Dimarzio Area 61 in the neck of my G&L Legacy HB (alder + rosewood,) and I also shielded the guitar with shielding paint. Sounds great and is completely silent. I actually prefer it over the Grosh RC and Suhr Pro I had.

Powering a Rocktron Midimate with a 7-pin cable problem

Ah... so the Axe doesn't power pins 6 & 7 internally, but needs the original adapter to be plugged into the "power" jack? I guess that's why it didn't work

Powering a Rocktron Midimate with a 7-pin cable problem

Hi, I tried hooking up my Midimate to the Axe using a 7-pin cable, but the Midimate doesn't turn on. It works fine with the wall wart and a standard 5-pin MIDI cable. Was anyone able to get this setup to work? Thanks
