Long story short, still not working. Unplugged mbox, used new usb cable, changed settings, now says can't initialize driver. gonna mess with it more tomorrow.

With further searching I found the Knowledgebase, which addresses the Axe USB Driver in detail, and I'm pretty sure the driver is installed properly.

I have searched the forum, wiki, and the web, read what seemed relevant, and watched videos. Still can't get an input signal into protools 11 from my axe. Any help would be appreciated. Upon starting PT11, go to setup > hardware > launch setup app > to the USB Audio Class Driver Control...

krcassid and barhrecords, thanks and sorry for my slow reply. bathrecords is right, i was connected via spdif and it was working fine. Probably my i/o settings were reset, so i'll keep trying to figure out whats wrong. As far as pt 9 or 10 goes, as soon as upgrades are $99...LOL... i'll go...

Thanks shasha. those suggestions were right on point, but they didn't fix it. axe still not heard by pt. i'm still thinking the update changed something but i don't know what it is. thanks

Thanks krcassid. I am using spdif cause i just upgraded to the AxeII and the spdif was working (with the axeII). Given my technical abilities, it was "not broke, don't fix it" mentality. I'm going to give the usb route a shot and see if that helps. (i'm still on pt 8) thanks

Thanks sOc0, i didn't realize there was a new update. So i did that, and the same problem persists. Without PT, axeedit works fine. Upon starting PT and telling it use SPDIF for time clock purposes, axeedit stops talking. I turned pt back to "internal clock" and axeedit started working...

Noob Needs Help - IA Switches Don't Work

HI and thanks to s0c9 and chief. I guess when i updated to 11.0 it reset all those I/O numbers to zero so doing a reset on the axe solved the problem. i'm wondering now, is there a list of those cc numbers? in the axe, I/O menu, CTRL page, they start at 10 and go to 98. Chief, how did you...

Mr Dpeterson, i discovered what a BS2 is and so i would have to run my guitar into that first and then into the axe, right or could i put that thing in my rack and run it between the axe and the pwr amp? thanks again.
