    Here's the Fractal preset Solo 100. I tweaked it. The cab block is the biggest change. Channel A is the Fractal SOLO Legacy IR's, Channel B is Leon Todd's LT TV Mix 7 IR, Channel C is the Dyna Cab 5153 Stealth with a 57. I found the legacy IR to be very dark.

    Yeah, It took me a minute to grasp the default layouts and customize them to what works for me. Now it makes sense and I only use per preset overrides when I need to make a change to a layout on a specific preset.

    Yes, I had this problem on my main preset and it was hovering at 78%. Changing the compressor type, and removing two blocks fixed it but it sucks that compromises need to be made now that the unit is overloading the CPU at just under 80%... I went from FW8 to 10...

    I didnt realize this was an old thread. I just loaded the preset and found the same thing. Very bright but not ear piercing through my monitors at a loud volume. I turned off the bright switch, added some mids, bass, and gain.

    The difference is the wood. The 800 series guitars are spruce and rosewood. There are 400 series limited editions out there made of the same woods but you’ll have to search for them. The 600 series are maple and can be very bright.

    I think it's the IR's they used. Cooper Carter shot IR's of Justins cabinets for his unit. We didnt get them. I used an Ownhammer Rockbox Greenback IR and its much more natural sounding.

    Like Unix-Guy said. The level for active IR's are relative. If you're using one IR slot of the two the level control in the slot does nothing. The Level control for the Cab block on the right side of the screen will control the overall level of the cab block.

    Definitely going the check this out asap! Thanks! One thing I did to improve the upper mid and high end response on my own VH preset is set the gain at 7.5 and the input trim at 2.0. You can then reduce the Low Cut back to 20hz. I also use the 1959SLP model.

    I did. The sustainer was a novelty to me and the neck pickup didn’t sound very good. Took it out and put a DiMarzio Injector in the neck position. Currently, the guitar has a Super Distortion, Area 67, and Injector in it. My PC1 has been a workhorse and I modded it to suit my needs in a cover band.

    This is one reason I use a Sonic Research mini tuner. I use three tunings, D# Standard - Drop C#, EVH tuning, and Buzz Fieten if I'm using my Anderson. The Sonic Research tuner makes it very easy to switch tunings.

    I’ve had this happen on my FM9 a few times too. Cycling the power switch has always worked. In my case I was powering the unit on by inserting the power cable. I stopped doing that and now power the unit on with the switch. So far the freeze up hasn’t happened since using the power switch.

    Ty Tabor has used different amps over the years but there’s always one commonality in his tones. To me it sounds like the mics on the speakers are out of phase or there’s a lot of room mixed in. Whatever it is it’s fantastic and I haven’t been able to get it out of the axe.
