More or less all of the charge it - "advancement fee", "customs clearance fee",...many names, same shit. Sometimes its included in a different fee, but you pay it anyway. Tough, the costs are different from company to company...mostly around 10,- to 12,-..

Just to make it clear - as G66 is a company, they dont have to really pay the 20% (or is it 19% in germany? Dont matter, you get the idea) import-VAT. A few yeras ago, a company would have had to pay it at the moment of import, but get it back later form the financial revenue office. Nowadays...

I was searching but couldnt find anything, so - sorry if this is answered already, but i need to know: If i understood everything correctly, the Axe II can receive midi-data via the USB also? So, if i plan to play live to a click-track, on my laptop, have midi-commands (preset switch etc.)...

I dont know, honestly. Simply because i'm still on the waiting list since months. And i actually asked the same on a german board ("What does "support" in that case mean?"). The only real difference i see is, IF there is a warranty issue - paying 10,- to send it to G66, or 100,- to send it to...

AXE FX ZWO - ist das jetzt ... gut ?

Ich les das relativ oft, kanns selbst nicht beurteilen (da ich erst anfang des Jahres bestellt hab, und entsprechend auf der Liste bin) - ich frag mich nur: Was gibts denn da eigentlich laufend für Probleme dass so viele Leute so viel Erfahrung mit dem Support von G66 haben? Wenn man sich so...

I'm pretty sure, they never actually planned to sell anymore units since 6 months. i really really doubt that they were not aware of the whole thing, they just decided at a certain point that they wont sell anymore 1st Gen units - which is, seeing the bitching ala "I JUST BOUGHT AN ULTRA LAST...

one user on a german baord called G66 yesterday, and has been told "over 1000 old orders (Standard and Ultras) have been converted in "II" orders, first shipment(s ?) will be 500 pcs.".

Yeah. That 100,- doesnt really make a difference for me too... Just in case you ordered a Standard, you're f***ed...because you waited now for 6 months, kept receiving Emails monthly with "Sorry, another 4 weeks delay, component shortage, yaddayadda", and now its "700,- surcharge or GTFO!".

I seriously doubt that ROHS units are built seperately..wouldnt make much sense. If there is any difference, its propably only the ROHS-sticker, but not component-wise.
