    Software FracPad III - iOS/Android/Mac/Win Editor for the Axe-Fx II/XL/XL+, AX8/FX8, Axe-Fx III and FM3/FM9

Thanks for working with me. I'm running FM3 V5.0 beta, FracPad III Android V3.41. MD BT01 running firmware V1.0.7, which is different than yours but that's what the update app pushed to me. I reinstalled the FM3 beta 5 firmware, and initially thought maybe it helped, but no such luck...

    Software FracPad III - iOS/Android/Mac/Win Editor for the Axe-Fx II/XL/XL+, AX8/FX8, Axe-Fx III and FM3/FM9

Thx for tips. I just installed the mac version and ran a physical usb cable to my FM3, running beta 5. The Mac version repeats this behavior on my setup. I havent checked every drop down selection menu obviously, but for the blocks in the factory 59 Bassguy preset, the reverb block is the only...

    Software FracPad III - iOS/Android/Mac/Win Editor for the Axe-Fx II/XL/XL+, AX8/FX8, Axe-Fx III and FM3/FM9

FM3 New beta/version everything ..android. ..Yamaha midi wireless. Selecting items from drop down menus is erratic at best. Reverb options seem to work fine for me. Others, not so much. And it's not my fat fingers, as I'm not getting selections anywhere close to what I'm clicking on. Try to...

    FM3 Firmware Release Version 1.06

I have one of the non-headphone versions, so I have been with it awhile. I am not a "power user" nor do I play live at the present time. I use the FM3 almost daily as an amp replacement, not a recording device. If I did want to record, I'd plug it into an interface as I always have...

    Issue with FM3

If my computer is doing anything in the background (other programs running, web pages auto loading ads, etc.) I will often lose communication during firmware uploads. So you might try that as once I started closing everything, no more problems. I've never had an issue during "normal" use...

    CPU Issues

Going to start w/ #2 above, as it may help bring clarity to #1 - but, any block you add to the grid will eat CPU capacity, whether it's bypassed or in use. Sometimes there are choices you make within a block that determines the overall CPU hit (for instance, speaker block - are you using one IR...

    OMG9 - too much? FM3+EV+Dual Switch Sufficient?

I had a FX3 + FC6. Sold the FX, kept the FC6 when my name came up on the FM3 list. Caveat - I'm not gigging and probably won't at this point in my life. I plugged the FC6 into the FM3 once. Decided the footprint was way to big for what I am doing, and the FC6 has been under the table...

    Axe-Edit III 1.04.02 RC 1

Firmware seems pretty stable and is an awesome upgrade. Edit seems to have problems for those that have a FC attached, if you aren't using a Fractal FC it appears all is good.
  12. E

Axe-Fx III Firmware Version 12.00 Public Beta

Just trying to isolate the issue... do you have a Fractal FC foot controller attached? That seems to be the make/break, at least as it pertains to AxeEdit use. The firmware itself seems pretty stable except for a couple quirks as noted earlier.

Axe-Fx III Firmware Version 12.00 Public Beta

The Mac OS doesn't have any user installed drivers, so any recommended "fix" that involves reinstalling drivers is a no-go for the Mac user base. To say it another way, you don't have to (and can't) install any USB drivers to use AxeEdit on a Mac.
  14. E

Axe-Fx III Firmware Version 12.00 Public Beta

You don't have to install USB drivers on a Mac, so it's a non issue.

    Axe-Edit III 1.04.02 RC 1

Okay, I've isolated the issue and can reproduce the it on my system at least. It's my FC6. When I unhook the FC6 (don't even need to reboot Axe or Edit, just unplug the FasLink cable), my AxeEdit behaves as normal, with response times that i'm used to. Plug the FC6 back in - it's molasses...

My definitions updated automatically after upgrade, but in an effort to try to figure this out, I initiated a refresh from the Settings menu I'm currently at 13 minutes and still reading definitions. Once this finishes I'm gonna unhook my FC 6 and reboot everything. There's gotta be something...

Thanks, but I'm of those that are experiencing severe slow down, to the point it feels unusable. Never any problems with past versions, it first raised it's head on last beta, but I rolled back to 11.X release and previous Edit software and things went back to normal and I hoped my problems...

    FC layout question

The other thing I'll mention is that scenes are inherently designed to keep you from having to stomp on a bunch of switches to change sounds. So if you are changing scenes, and then needing to hit a bunch of switches, I'd rethink your use of the scenes. If you are really just more comfortable...

    FC layout question

I responded in the FC forum, but in reference to your comment above - if you are really talking about presets, use the "per preset" function. But if you are talking about scenes as you mention in OP, all scenes have access to the same blocks in the same preset, so there's absolutely no reason...

    FC-6 layout question

If you want to do this at the scene level, I'm not sure you can. You get 8 layouts total, and you do have the ability to override these layouts using the "per preset" function, but there is no "per scene" function. I will tell you that 8 layouts, given the different things you can do, is a...

Presets Master Thread - November 2025 UPDATED! 1400+ Naked Amps TonePack for Axe-FX III fw31 and FM9 fw11!

AB - I can't tell you which scene exactly because as soon as the preset loads it crashes. It's not a simple input level thing, it's a full on system freak out, all meters pegged and stay that way. I actually experienced issues just uploading the bank as it always crashed after saving that...

Presets Master Thread - November 2025 UPDATED! 1400+ Naked Amps TonePack for Axe-FX III fw31 and FM9 fw11!

Thanks AB!! On 11.02 Beta1.0 - preset 39 - Hiwatt DR103 - is pegging my meters and crashing my system. I'm loading it into slot 166 if that matters, but your other presets load fine into that slot.

Axe-Fx III Firmware Version 11.00 Public Beta

As notalemming said, this thread is not about speaker IR's. You can change/restore speaker IRs to your heart's content and go back at any time. If you change the new parameter in the amp block that was implemented with this firmware - no, you can't simply "go back". You have to restore your...

Legacy Presets MASTER THREAD - AustinBuddy DREAMRIGS 1000+TonePack for AX8 and Axe-FX Mark II/XL/XL+

Love it so far, thanks! Is there an easy way to reverse the wah slope/function across all banks in one fell swoop? I need heel down as off as my pedal is spring loaded that way, rather than toe down being "off". I know how to do it preset by preset, but that would obviously be a bit tedious...

    Tablet recommendations for FracPad app

Seems to me the real advantage of FracPad is the ability to go wireless. Unfortunately, you need an iPad to accomplish that, at least a V3 iPad if I remember correctly (due to the Bluetooth protocol I believe). If wireless is not in your future, have you considered AxeLive and an old Windows...

First of hopefully not too many beginning questions.

Ya D..if you are auditioning the factory patches on there...most of those were never tweaked to adjust to some of the firmware updates which changed things like the compressor, drive, etc.. First Practice with QSC HPR122i - really need advice?

That's not "normal". My QSC would shake the house and rattle the windows at those settings. Make sure you are hitting the Axe input hard (red light coming on periodically). Adjust internal mixers/outputs, etc. to maximum signal path levels prior to internal clipping. Make sure you've got the...

    Axe FX future performance reserves

WHAT IS THIS GUY DOING? I guess one way to look at it is this....both the Standard and the Ultra already contain many more options than the CPU processing power will handle simultaneously. achieving "that metal tone"

If you like the basic tone, just download the patch and open it in the Editor. Then you can see how its set up and all the settings for the various blocks. If you *really* like it, you could always recreate the patch manually in your AxeFX, even if you don't have a working midi interface.
