Buzz noise when connecting axe III to powerstage amp

I think I would set the Axe-Fx to +4dBu turn the output level knob fully to zero and then carefully turn it up as long as the input of the PS gets not overdriven.

Buzz noise when connecting axe III to powerstage amp

If the Powerstage should have a mono respectively an unbalanced input and you do not use a XLR-to-TS but a XLR-to-TRS cable, one line coming from the XLR output will not be connected on the Powerstage's side. I could image that this causes the buzz. So I would either try an XLR-to-TS cable or -...

@Sully Maybe one thing to make clear: You don't have to use axefx2setp.sh and AlbertA's packages. Axe-Fx II and Linux (again)

Just to clarify: The AX8 (and FX8) don't need to (and can't) be loaded with USB firmware like it is necessary for the Axe-Fx II models. So the approach to get the Axe-Fx II working as a USB soundcard under Linux does not apply to the AX8 and FX8.

    Axe-Fx II and Linux (again)

I have no access to an XL/XL+, so I cannot test this.
