V10 Firmware

This really is exceptional, and I'm only still in the new presets, tomorrow the tweaking fun begins. I just finished reading the MIMIC pdf that came with the firmware too, for those of you who might have skipped over reading this in your excitement (as I did) I highly recommend it. Great read...

I still use the Ultra a lot to be honest. Used it entirely for a recording of a band in our studio today. I have some presets I have made on there that I just know really work for some things, and let's face it, while the II has some killer new features, the Ultra is still a beast of a unit. So...

Just wondering....is the Axe Fx II used in any major studios?

We used the Ultra for a ll the leads / solos with our last album recording at The Panic Room, in Sweden. Thomas 'Plec' Johansson is a mastering wizard, and one hell of an engineer. We ended up using real amps for the ryth sections, but the same thing as mentioned before, showing him the sound we...

What did you rely on before the Axe-Fx

Voes, thanks for your walkthrough, I got my FCB1010 on Saturday, and had it all programmed and working with the Axe in under 30mins. Legendary. The Axe-Fx just got better!

Thanks guys, working on a new one now, will retrack this one when im a little more confident with a few more skills, Guitar Used : Ibanez RGA321 Custom Bass Used : Ibanez SR700 (but i botched the patch for this one, hence how low it is in the mix. New bass tracks are sounding better!) Amps ...
