    Houses of the Holy intro?

Has anyone been successful with creating the sound of the guitar intro on the song Houses of the Holy using the AX8? I found an earlier thread describing how to do it using the feedback send and return for regeneration into a chorus block in the AXII, but we don't have the feedback send and...

    AX-8 10.00 Release Candidate

Marco, that is some pretty impressive performance with the CPU being so high. I am going to guess that you are not using any scene controllers in that preset, but let me know if I am wrong.

    AX-8 10.00 Release Candidate

After seeing a trend of issues with controllers being used I decided to try a few tests this morning so I re-installed v10 RC1 and opened AX8 Edit. Bank 1, Preset 1 - DoubleVerb (Factory preset) Changed foot switches to show scenes 1 -4 on the bottom row. (Saved) Result: All good, tuner is...

    AX-8 10.00 Release Candidate

Really interesting... On factory presets #1-1 DoubleVerb and #2-1 DeluxeVerb, the scene changes are smooth and the tuner responds as expected. On my own built presets (one attached) the scene changes have a bit of a delay between hitting the button on the AX8 and seeing the change on screen...

    AX-8 10.00 Release Candidate

btw - I'm reinstalling v10 RC1 right now and will look at some of the factory presets as I was seeing the delay with scene changes on my own presets, although they are relatively basic in content and CPU usage.

    AX-8 10.00 Release Candidate

Absolutely. Can you tell me specifically what system settings you are looking for? Or can I do a 'dump' of them and attach them here in any way?
  15. ScottyB

    AX-8 10.00 Release Candidate

I feel like a bad apple here, but I have updated to v10 RC1 and am still seeing a delay between scene changes and my tuner is still jumps around instead of having a 'smooth' motion. The sound is great, but I will need to go back to v9.04 for this weekend. :(

    AX-8 10.00 Public Beta #2

Anyone notice the tuner appears to be glitchy? Like there is a slight delay before it responds to the input and movement of the ball seems to be jumpy, not as smooth as before.

    Phone sound?

Thank you @mr_fender ! Help. saved over main preset

As stated, do back-ups. However, a quick way to address this without always having to do a back-up is to save your favorite preset(s) in another slot(s). That way you can always go to the copied version without a hitch.

Will AX8 fit height wise to a pedal train pro?

True, but @Karl Houseknecht and I both have the Novo version with the width being the only difference. I am able to fit my AX8 into the hard case, yet Karl is stating he needs an additional 2" in order to close his case.
  47. ScottyB

Will AX8 fit height wise to a pedal train pro?

That is really odd since they have the same height and depth dimensions. The only difference is the width which shouldn't affect the closing of the cover.

    AX8 Factory Presets Update 6p02

what presets to try the first time with an AX8

Just start switching through the presets as you're playing and write down the ones you like/dislike. That's interesting. While the PT Novo 24 and PT Novo 32 have different widths, they do have the same depth (14.5") and height (3.5").
