    FM3: When?

My guess is that they won't start shipping till the Firmware is out of Beta. Can we at least know when it would be out of beta?

Dont misinterpret my concern as "FM3 doesn't sound as good as Axe FX 3". There is virtually no difference right now, i truly believe that you could only hear it with measuring tools or something... I'm just concerned that FM3 amp modelling will get stuck and fall behind right after a few...

    Any new FM3 videos coming?

What conserns me the most is you saying "The amp models are almost exactly like Axe FX 3, if you can tell a difference, I'll buy you a coffee". I don't care about taking out some unnecessary knobs out of the amp block - I never use them. But if there are some cut corners in the amp modelling...

    Compact Rig Idea

Considering that all these switches have to be is momentary switches you just connect directly to the jack inputs, it's really easy to do yourself... Though, I'd just buy a super tiny MIDI controller instead and get way more flexibility out of it, in the same size. Something like this:

They might release such a unit in the future. More processing power is cool, sure. WISH: More outputs blocks (SPDIF)

Personally, I don't really need it. It's just a random idea. But what it could be used is to add stereo effects to multiple instruments at a time, in an FX loop. Let's say, the other guitarist might be using a real amp, but he get's the FX from your FM3. Maybe effects for a keyboardist and a...

You can achieve tone match within a DAW with a EQ match plugin of somesort. Though in my opinion, unless you are in a tribute band, or you are making karaokes, I wouldn't bother with tone match. Just be yourself. I had Axe FX 2 for years and I never used Tone match.

Only 3 Switches? What were they thinking?

However, their small versions are not modular. That's the point. If you want a bigger FM3, buy extra buttons, bolt them to the FM3 and boom. Jackpot. You've got the bigger FM3.
  58. FreeMind

Only 3 Switches? What were they thinking?

Considering that the whole point is modularity, that is - You can add as many foot buttons, and you can have your foot pedal as big as you need for a particular gig, having three buttons is more than enough. Some gigs only need a single button, really. Some - no buttons at all.

FM3 is SO smaller compared to the Axe-Fx III

As I imagine it, the Axe FX 3 is only big because of inputs/outputs and a bigger screen. Otherwise, it wouldn't be that big. Same goes for Axe FX 2 - It's just full of empty space, and those pcb's could easily fit in a way smaller box, even 1U. Could argue that it's because of heat dispersion...

What are your opinions on running a sim cab into a real cab?

Running cab sims into a cab equivalent would be: Place a cab in another room, mic it, send the mic signal to a power amp, and through a guitar cab. That is ridiculous. Normally, people just connect the amp to the cab, and rock out.
