Foot switch not working on first press

Bottom row. Third from left. It won't engage anything on that accept for second press. Then it works fine first time after that. But when I switch to effects layout it also doesn't work at first press. Then does after if I stay on that layout. But switch back to scenes and same thing again. Weird. it is only that button and I have tried other factory presets with same results. Any ideas as I’m not thinking it’s a button issue as it works fine after the initial usage until I switch layouts

I have tried moving those effects and scenes around, and it only affects the third button

Thanks for sharing this. I'm having the same issue with same switch as the OP since the FW11 Beta. Hoping it truly is a software and not hardware fix.

I am normally patient on beta updates because they typically don't turn a footswitch into a dud. This time I hope it is sooner than later.

This happened to me last year. I sent in for warranty and the problem went away on its own. Same button.

I had this very problem before. Not on this firmware. Same button. Was never able to recreate the problem consistently. Interesting that it came about now. My issue was a year ago. Hasn’t happened in a very long time.

This is happening to me also with the latest 11.0 Beta firmware. I was double checking my presets for a gig coming up and found this behavior. I thought I had a bad switch at first, tried cleaning with isopropyl alcohol and tried flashing firmware and then found this thread. Glad that it's a bug and not hardware related. Hopefully, it will be sorted out in the next firmware release.

Yep, me too. Same switch and also on the latest beta firmware. Assumed it was a hardware issue and thought I could just clean it or something. So maybe (hopefully) it's related to firmware then and will be fixed in the stable v11 release.

This is supposed to be fixed in the beta released today.

I didn't have the issue so I can't verify...

My new FM9 foot switch 1 just failed after a month of gentle home use. Nothing appears to be loose. Is there any fix short of sending the unti to Fractal. Of course, my wife just threw away the boxes.

That's a different issue.

In this thread, it's all about the 3rd switch and that's fixed with a firmware update.

Contact support and they hopefully get you sorted out.
