Using Output 2 Echo for monitoring

This probably belongs in rigs and routing but sometimes the responses don't come as rapidly as they would here. If I'm reading the manual right I should be able to run Outputs 1 L&R to my DAW to mix with track and output 2 for monitoring, allowing me to adjust volume at with the knobs on the face of the AX8. Of course this assumes no FX Loop is present in the preset and the Global I/O for Output 2 is set for echo.

Does that sound correct?
