FX8 has a "once" button in the looper. Obviously, this plays the loop... once, then stops.
Line 6 DL4 also has a "once" button. But it can also be used to re-trigger a loop on demand. Every time you step the button, it starts over. It does not make you wait until the loop is finished to start again. In other words, it's a "once/re-trigger" button.
You could record a rhythmic loop, or percussive sample (handclaps, bass drum, fart samples, anything you want). You could tap along with your drummer in real time adding to the beat.
If you use loops on stage, you know how easily the tempo can drift away from a loop. Simply re-start the loop one the "1" beat of every measure - and stay in time without worrying about timecode and click tracks.
Is there a way to do this now with existing firmware/hardware? Can a single button be tied to stop/re-start a loop with one action?
