Pitch shifts , reverbs and fx loops

I ran a mic through the back and recorded my nearly silent environment. i sang a bit to trigger the loop. Signal passes through pitch shift on crystals type, through a reverb and fx loop. the result is recorded.

Yeah possibly, would have used tape loops and reverbs just the same. You dont need much of a sound to create something truely amazing. Imo
