The more IRs are used, the more realistic the amp/cab in the room sound is

I use two cabs that are not far from sounding the same. I pan them wide. sounds closer to what my ears say is an amp in the room.

Being as this is on AXE3 firmware 23, and the latest FM9 firmware is beta 5...I would say try it on the latest beta firmware and see.

I wasn't able to open that preset. it asked me where to put everything, but it didn't load one block. weird. I'm using firmware 23 beta.

a couple things: make sure you are using the latest beta firmware. older firmware may not connect to blocks correctly. select another scene besides 1. every scene is another tone. 1 is clean, 2 is crunch, 3 is lead, etc.

Use the 'Print Screen' button (PrtSc). You'll find it on the upper-right side of most keyboards (or next to the Space Bar on some). It will copy an image of your entire screen to the clipboard. You can then hit 'Ctrl + V' to paste it into a document. open the preset then printscreen

I attached my presets to each post as I went along. they should still be there. attached to this post is the preset that I recorded with. I'm still tweaking the preset to get closer to the album tone, but it's getting there.

you can download the preset. I posted a preset each step of the way. but running into a guitar speaker cabinet will drastically change the tone. you can try turning off the speaker cabinet inside the preset, which will give you back some of the highs.

for anyone wanting to know how I create presets without tonematch, you can look at the evolution of this preset and see how the eq changes as I go. The next step from here would be for me to create a tonematch of my cab and eq chain to make a new IR. then I could just use that new IR and free...
