Trying to find the lightest weight option for protecting axe fx 3

The Shield Plus is another good option to look into...more ammo capacity for carrying the Axe FX III to rehearsal areas in sketchy parts of town!

They All Sound the Same, It's About Workflow

1 is the amp. 4 is the Fractal. You can hear it in the top end- #1 has a more musical sizzle, while #4 is missing a little off the very top, but still preserves the same texture of distortion.

Almost 2 months with no FW update...

This statement alone speaks volumes about the caliber of your team! Very cool.

    Jeries Alfreih has passed on

Oh my goodness! While I had never met him, I am also local to Phoenix and we’ve chatted via Craigslist about some guitar deals. Praying and thinking of his family during this time.

    FC-12 Slow When Banking up/down (Preset +1, Preset -1)

DSP usage plays into this. I've found that 85%+ DSP usage correlates to a slower FC12 experience in some cases. Even higher, and it can slow to a crawl.

Anyone switched from Kemper to Axe-Fx III?

Hi Greg, I'm the OP of the comment you replied to. I've been loving Cygnus, and my thoughts have not changed toward the Kemper since writing my post. The gap has simply gotten bigger with how good Cygnus is. Truly feel blessed and fortunate to have such a great piece of gear that the Axe FX III is!

    Axe-Fx III 16.00 Beta 8 "Cygnus" Firmware - Public Beta #5

Thank you, Bill! I was just thinking last night “I’d love to hear the base of his presets.” Looking forward to trying it out and adapting to my use at church- all “in the box”.

    FC-12 and Temple Audio

The screws on my FC-12 line up with the holes on my Temple Audio board. I took off the rubber side-feet on mine for a more streamlined look, but the alignment shouldn't change either way.

What's up with this, is it for real? :(

God forbid the sum of the processors and components cost less than what the unit sells for. The amount of value I have received from my Axe FX III, and previously my Axe FX II vastly outweigh the comparatively small cost of $2,XXX I paid for each. Also, God forbid Fractal Audio makes a profit on...

Anyone switched from Kemper to Axe-Fx III?

Most of the users agreed with the exaggerated midrange and compression characteristics. A lot of them also felt that it was more "tubelike" than the Fractal (likely due to the compression), and also stated that the Fractal had more fizz than the Kemper. Well...it does have more fizz because...

Anyone switched from Kemper to Axe-Fx III?

I bought a Kemper for kicks and giggles because a good deal came up locally. Here is a copy-pasted "takeaway" I posted on a Kemper Facebook group after spending some time with the unit. To add onto this, there is a really exaggerated midrange that I can't dial out of any profile, and there...

Wish Brad Paisley - Z Wreck with Blue and Gold 2x12 cabinet

Ownhammer has his Bogner 2x12 cab pack with an Alnico Gold mic'd with a vintage 421 similar to Brad's setup. It also includes a Silver which is less accurate to Brad's setup, but I've been able to get very close tones with the Wrecker models.
