Best way to make a patch for use with real cab?

I have both a Matrix FR212 (or whatever it's called) and an Engl Pro 4x12, and I use the exact same settings for both (minus cab sim for the Engl) - my presets are dialled in at loud volume using only the pre, power and speaker page of the amp block, no advanced tweaking. *both cabs are powered...

Question regarding the Engl amps

Hi guys I've noticed that the low frequency resonance (on the speaker page) is different on the Energyball (95 hZ) compared to Savage (110 hZ). Aren't they supposed to be matched to the same type of cab (the Engl Pro 4x12) and therefor supposed to have the same low frequency resonance? Or am I...

Expression pedals are out of whack after updating to FW 19.00

It might be a long shot but do you have the volume block engaged? I'm asking because this also happened to me a couple of months ago (my own fault though) - IIRC it was because the block that the exp. pedal controlled was already engaged + the modifier was set to autoengage. For volume swells...

Better distortion. Amp vs Drive pedal?

I'm producing a Cab Pack for Fractal Audio Systems

Just bought this cab pack, and all I can say is: DAMN these badboys sounds great!! So many great tones in there (Slash, Andy Timmons, Guthrie Govan + possibly every other guitar player who uses V30's). It would be nice to know, which speaker(s) (A, B, C or D) are part of the Alloy folder...

V6 firmware: Time to Release the Monster - Speaker Resonance Page

I really dig this approach for taming magnetic feedback when using high gain sounds on single coil pickups (I'm playing through the Matrix FR212 cab) - no high frequency squeals but still lots of single coil goodness even at high volumes and with a fair amount of gain. It's good. Goooood.

I am also very happy with the free firmware updates and all, but that wasn't my point. I just find it weird that FAS is making a non-compete agreement with Ownhammer, that are "forcing" me to pay 20 bucks for something I don't need, just to be able to update a product that I've bought 24 days...
