I recommend one simple test. If you own a simple ohm meter or DVM, set it to measure ohms. If it has a beep setting for 0 ohms, enable it. Make sure the ground lift switches on everything aren't set to lift. On the Axe, plug a grounded cord into the IEC power receptacle on the back, but...

Yek's right. You want a star ground configuration - only one device is connected to ground, and everything else is grounded through it. It's the multiple ground connections that make the loop - hence the name loop ;-) I'm fighting my own RF noise issue - isolated to the cable from the G90 to...

Need New Interface/Pre to go with Axe II - Macbook Pro & Reaper - Seeking Advice

I've heard some twitchy feedback on the Saffire - for one, too many features/$ to get them all nailed. Jumpy MIDI - need an easy button for when stuff sticks. Firewire on it doesn't like to hot-plug, but if you don't move it around, it's a non-issue. My favorite by far is the Sound Devices...

Have you given Jack OSX a try? Jack It's helped me before with touchy plugins / devices / apps that don't play well with aggregate devices, and is required for the DAW I use (Mixbus) Cheers, Kevin
