Initial impressions from a bassist and first time FAS owner

This is exactly why I run a stereo (or dual-mono) bass rig. I'm a FAS newbie and still in the beginning stages of experimenting with the FX8 but, (to me) you should treat effects for bass like icing on a cake; having a dry side to maintain your fundamental low-end tone, articulation, etc. and...

Is anyone running a dual or multi-amp rig with the FX8?

I’m having a bit of trouble understanding the Config display in the FX8 Edit with respect to running a dual-amp rig. What I’d like to do is as follows: First, I’m basically running a wet/dry stereo rig (with the exception of when I want to run a block on for both left and right sides)...

    Bass players using the FX8

Hey prockenklang, I R one... a bass player using the FX8 that is. It's working well for me so far. I've actually gigged with it in the past three weeks without even using any of its effects, as I just this week figured out how to run it effectively (pardon the pun) in my wet/dry rig. No wait; I...

Noob question: Stereo (Wet/Dry) Set up

Okay, I think I'm on my way to figuring this out. First I set my I/O settings set to stereo, phasing to Normal. Block 1: Flat Graphic EQ1, Balance panned Left – This is my dry amp signal (no tone suck that I can tell) Block 2: Modified Graphic EQ2, Balance panned Right – This is the first Block...

So...Now the FX8 is in peoples hands...what do you think?

I have read few posts about “flexible routing”; this where I’m having trouble. Although I am enjoying quality of the effects, it is where (in a stereo, wet/dry rig) I’m hearing them that’s giving me a fit. I was hoping that I could set bypass separately for either the Left or Right channels...

Noob question: Stereo (Wet/Dry) Set up

Oh man Chris, I'm even more confused now. But if you're a having trouble with the routing, etc… then I'm not feeling like such a dumb-ass. Okay maybe that's stretching it a little bit. I won't take off the dunce cap just yet. But it does seem that if the FX8 is hard-wired for Left/Right that...

Noob question: Stereo (Wet/Dry) Set up

The source of my current confusion is most likely due to the fact that I’m new to FAS products. I want to run my stereo rig (or dual-mono) in a wet/dry fashion. I have connected the FX8 in what I would call the 7CM. IOW, I have one cable input from the guitar to the FX8. Amp 1: (L) one cable...

    4CM snake

Man, This looks good. I wish I'd went this route B4 $helling out major dinero for a self-fashioned George L's snake I made. Of course, I'll be running my rig stereo (two amps); so I'll be doing the 7CM (6+1 inst. input?)... and it won't be "humbuster" as recommended. Keeping my fingers crossed...

    invite to buy fx8

Woo-hoo! Got my invite today… was actually checking email waiting in traffic on the way home from work this evening. I got on the wait list about 12:30 EST on 10/04/14. Now, should I start a thread on driver safety vs. rushing home to get on-line to order? :)

    invite to buy fx8

I'm sure that FAS is doing everything they can with all this. BTW, I've got my Waitlist confirmation 10/4, 12:24PM EST… still checking my email everyday. I'm thinking Christmas in July perhaps?:)

    Pedal train questions and answers:

Hey guys, How are y'all mounting the FX8 to the pedaltrain board? Are you removing the rubber feet, etc? Sorry, if I missed this on another thread. I plan on using my existing Pedaltrain board and was hoping someone came up with a novel method of mounting... sans Velcro, etc.

    New Features of the FX8

Did I goof? In the first few pages of the manual I read about the Humbuster Cables. This will be my first FAS product and in preparation for it I have already fashioned a patch panel and "snake" from George L cables. I'll be running a stereo rig (two amps) so it'll be connected via a 7 cable...
