Software "MIKKO" - Next Gen Cab Sim | Shoot your own IR's [ML Sound Lab]

As promised, here's a brief demo of MIKKO. All guitars were tracked with my KSR Colossus, into the Suhr Reactive Load, and straight into MIKKO. The left side is the MEGA OLD, and the right side is the ZILLA. Both cabs were micked with an SM57 + R-121. Same mic positions and mixes on both cabs...

Software "MIKKO" - Next Gen Cab Sim | Shoot your own IR's [ML Sound Lab]

I'm posting a MIKKO demo this Tuesday, so stay tuned! I'm honestly super happy with the result. If you haven't purchased MIKKO yet, you should consider doing so.

I haven't noticed this signal strength issue when using the Reactive Load with the Axe FX III, which is the other scenario I've tested it with. With the Axe FX III for simulating cabs, I rarely have to go beyond 12 o'clock with the Reactive Load's level. Thanks! :)

My 2 cents... Tried the thing for about half an hour to get the hang of it. I said to myself "OK, it works. I don't feel any latency, so let's purchase the damn thing!" Today, I've spend a couple of hours playing and recording with MIKKO. Having the full version makes so much sense! I could...

Thanks! I'm glad to hear you're not feeling latency. I'll try MIKKO tomorrow and, if I feel no latency, I'll immediately purchase it. :)

Hi, guys. Does anyone know the actual latency when using MIKKO with real amps? I'm planning to buy it tomorrow to use it with my tube amps and Suhr Reactive Load for recording direct. Thanks!

    Naming cabs help needed

Hi, guys! Quick question. I cannot import cabs to the Axe FX III with the name I want. I have a cab on my desktop (name: Prueba Argie 412). When I send it to the Axe FX III (User Bank 1, Slot 1, 2, 3, etc.), it appears with the following name: IR NAME TEST 1,2,3. Do you know what I may be...

FX8 with Dual Stereo Line Mixer

Test preset attached. It's very basic with just delay and reverb. It's what I've been using to unsuccessfully try things out. I would also try changing the bypass type of both blocks on the fly to see if that corrected anything (as described in a previous post). Thanks!

FX8 with Dual Stereo Line Mixer

My rig is stereo (not W/D/W), so there's always dry signal going through my L/R cabs. Whenever I get a phase issue, it's quite simple to solve because it means one of the units connected to the Dual Stereo Line Mixer is not set to kill dry. Without the FX8, everything works perfectly, so I...

FX8 with Dual Stereo Line Mixer

That mixer is identical to the one I'm using, so I'm worried that I'm missing something along the way and that's why it's not working properly. For some reason, dry signal seems to be still passing thru the FX8. It would actually be quite convenient to have a Kill Dry function onboard.

FX8 with Dual Stereo Line Mixer

Everything you can see in the video included in the original post. The rig is working flawlessly without the FX8. I've tried programming a preset with just one delay (mix set to 100%) in order to simplify the testing process. I assume no dry signal is passing through the unit after having the...

FX8 with Dual Stereo Line Mixer

I've already had with no luck. :(

FX8 with Dual Stereo Line Mixer

I've tried a few other things, so I'm posting the results so far: 1) I've managed to get rid of the phase issue if all programmed effects are bypassed (only with bypass type set to THRU). 2) I've managed to get rid of the phase issue if I activate the true bypass function. 3) The moment I...
