Yep. same thing my XL was doing, but it sounds great, I figure they'll find the issue with Axe-Edit and we'll get a new version, maybe a slightly revised firmware, but Aries sounds great and I didn't save any beta versions. Inspiring tones, I wrote a new track jamming last night, which is good...

Axe Edit is saying "the version information could not be queried". I tried unselecting and reselecting the ports. Also getting this message: "Communications time-out. Axe-Edit was unable to complete the following communications request: initialization: get_all_patch_names"

Odd, I had no trouble downloading the new firmware, got to check audio in a bit, but once I installed 1.03 and the latest Axe edit, they won't connect? I don't really use axe-edit regularly, so as long as everything else is working nicely, I guess I'll just keep adjusting from the front panel...

Yeah, the Super Bassman is a great sounding amp with it's own flavor, the Meatsmoke sounds mighty nifty too, would be awesome to see either (or both) in there for sure!

Rack Suggestions for Axe-Fx III

I have a ton of SKB cases, but the recently discontinued ones with the aluminum valance, I'm sure the new ones are still good (though the handles look way less heavy duty and I'm not sure they still have replaceable nut clips if you manage to strip the holes). Anyway, the way they measure them...

Bug? "FAS Bass" Amp Model - Aliasing (I think)

I just used FAS Bass the night before last, sounded clean and clear to me...still probably the best sounding "bass amp" in the box, though I really like the AC-30 with a bass cab, but suggest keeping that path clean, as to my ear, it starts to sound flat and boxy on bass as it distorts ( though...

Definitely Jack Bruce, John Entwistle, John Paul Jones and of course Geddy and Paul McCartney...though I'm also partial to Justin Chancellor's tones (generally a full range bi-amp, one clean RB800, one dirty and I think a Direct In to the desk, so three signal paths), but yeah, re-working that...

IR trouble? Forget all the commercial IRs... !!!

Oh, I heard one of those "metal bands" before, it was harsh and I didn't like it....but IRs I like! Of course, I'm kidding, I do plenty of metal-ish stuff among other things, though I usually try to avoid "harsh", anyway... Awesome that you are able to make your own IRs that work better for...

You can't really go wrong by buying a II, mine does everything I want it to (well, except the Ampeg B-15 that's been promised and will get used a lot when it's in there)...but if you're buying one now and you can afford to go for the III, it's really a platform with a ton of potential, it may...
