Yeah pretty sure these cabs pair really well with Mesa Mark (and related / similar) amps, in particular with relatively "high" presence settings (FFS the triaxis, JP-2C, Mark IV and Mk IIC+ models sing with this) and that 5 band GEQ 66khz slider up a bit. Other cabs those settings might sound...

I love the 57 on recordings, but whenever I play through a mic'd up 57 or a 57 impulse I don't get the sound I'm after. So similarly I gravitated toward other things. Just tried the Dynacab condenser in a stereo pair (the 4x12 Mesa Straight) about 15.25 centimeters away from the speaker...

Oh wow this is a good combination on the Recto Slant 4x12 with the IIC+ (any of them) dialed in right. Pull the dynamic away from the cab a bit if too boomy, really nice. Maybe it's my old man ears, but the high end is very crisp but not harsh

Same situation, 1994 Parker Fly - same settings I have to go to (5% or less) We probably have pretty heavy picking hand sometimes. If I play exclusively with legato, I never clip, not even at 100% input sensitivity. Loving the dynacabs even just one mic, I can find a sweet spot that works...

Who uses just 1 Cabinet IR?

Usually one if I'm doing rhythm guitar for panning/multiple takes, but if I want a "roomier" sound I use 3 IRs (2 close mics and a room), align the room so. Volume on the "room" mic is usually at leat -6 db (often -12).

Oh wow, I never tried any of the marshalls in the prior beta. Using York Audio Marshall 4x12 T75 SM57-1 with the Rear IR mixed in slot 2 at about -8 Brit 800 mod default settings, dropped the gain down to 3.35 Speaker page Impedance curve to 4x12 Brit Greenback, speaker compliance to 85 or so...

Removed all the high pass filters / low cuts I was using. It's nice in my opinion, the USA Pre (Triaxis) Lead 2 yellow I gravitate towards is easier to tame in the low end. I need less gain on this FW 21 beta, less speaker compression too. Seems like. I can use Bass on 3 or 4 and it's not...
