on any preset if i choose a 4*12 cab, it turns too bassy, its impossible to use the neck pick up!
to tame it i have to do alot of post EQ...which doesnt make sense for me?

i know those cabs are not often used in studios (i am talking for rock, blues, jazz, pop sounds)
on bigger stages they make sense though.

how do you guys use 4*12 cabs? and why do you use them instead of 2*12 or 1*12. for my ears they bring in too much low frequencies which dont make sense in
a mix with band.

Alot of people like 4x12s. And they are often used in studios too. 1x12, 2x12 and 4x12 all sound different even with the same speakers. There is no need to try and like something you don't, just use the combination that works for you. Personally, I prefer 4x12s with v30 for 90% of the tones I use.

i am making my own IR mixes but i can never get a useful sound with 4*12 and trying to understand how people use them.

the is a low cut in the cab block section. you can use that.

some of the 4x12, I find the same as you. mostly I use 3rd party IRs
However. I do not find the Basket Weave 4x12s too bassy at all.

another thing you can do is raise the amp blocks low cut freq.
