What was your 1st amp?

Peavey TNT teal stripe (bass), bought new. Love those 15 inch speakers. I still have my first proper guitar amp, a Peavey Bandit teal stripe. Sounds great with a telecaster.

A Randall RG125. I worked my ass off for an entire summer and then some for it. Was on layaway lol. I loved that amp. It shit the bed and I moved on to a peavey which I loved as well.

Mine was actually the famous Gorilla amp... Years later, I spray painted it neon green and gave it to my first son when he was 4 or 5 along with a (very POS) Frankenstein copy.

I have that amp up in my music room... And my son still has that guitar.

First amp: An old valve radio. The receiver and amplifier were on separate parts of the circuit board. I disconnected the receiver, and added a fly lead with a jack plug on the end. (It was the summer of ‘69).

Second amp: A transistor amp I built from a kit, and a 12” Goodmans speaker in a chipboard cabinet. I gigged this for years.

I think I had the OG version of this! Early ‘80’s Crate CR-112. I put it on top of an Ampeg 4-10 that someone left at a friends house and connected to the external speaker jack on the back. Actually didn’t sound too bad for what it was!
