Undercalibrate expression pedals?

I am wondering if under-calibrating expression pedals would ensure proper "throw".

Say if I calibrate "min" to 002 and "max" to 90 (of a possible 92). I would think that this would ensure full off and full on from the pedal. Yes/no?
