I've just updated to firmware v15.0 beta and trying to build a Satriani preset for the first time in ages, based upon the song Circles. No problem getting a good clean tone with my Ibanez using the Jazz 120 amp but the dirty tones seem harder to emulate. Tried most of the Marshall models including the Friedmans with and without drive blocks but had trouble dialling Satch's throaty tone for the solo. I'm using the guitar's neck pickup with a wah block on as a filter. Played around with the different wah types but still couldn't quite nail it. Anyone have any advice for amp model / wah type selection or EQing to recreate this sound?
