Trivium and Disturbed using the Axe FX Ultra's...

Trivium have been interviewed by the Italian magazine Chitarre on the occasion of their last album In Waves. Thought some could be interested in what they say about Axe-Fx :)

Paolo: We believe that the less the rig, the less links in the chain of sound to care about.

Coray: Exactly! I use a wireless system into a rack-mounted CryBaby then into the Fractal Axe-Fx, so I won't need amps and cabs. Chorus, delay, phaser, amps are all programmed in the Axe. Of course I've got a MIDI pedalboard. Simple and light. It's fantastic, you don't need to use a JMC with certain effects in the loop for some songs and a 5150 with other sounds for say the next three songs. There're lots of different simulated sounds in a single rack unit, and in the show we don't have the impression to play a cover of our own songs: we can perfectly replicate our albums' sounds every night. Furthermore, Axe-Fx has got some killer cleans, and has added much expressiveness to our sound.
