The first tone I'm gonna match with 6 is...

Posted this on another thread, but it's my choice.

Stevie Vai's "Call it Sleep" two great guitar sounds in one song.

For amps, it would be my Rivera Jake.

Wanna try some Ritchie Blackmore. Never really hear anything else that resembles his tone, so it's one of the unique tones I'd like to try.

I think I'll probably tone-match a couple of Adam Jones' tones just for kicks, but I'm more interested in working with the new models more than anything!

My homemade battery powered amp that has a fuzz box (made in high school electronics class) for a preamp and a Radio Shack IC Chip (LM380?) for the power amp driving an 8" speaker. Totally low tech, crappy sound, but it has tons of character and I'd love to be able to duplicate it. Only problem... which amp model do I start with?

THD Flexi 50. It's not 100 watt Marshall stoopid loud, but if I can capture that amp in a profile and call it up in an Axe-II preset, I'll be a very happy camper indeed! :mrgreen

For me....stuff from Burn. Tone on this album is quite different than the others; not sure why. I do know that a cheap transistor amp was used for one track.

I started a very similar thread well over a month ago........Lincoln Brewster, crazy thought the Axe II matching a Line 6 POD that has amazingly great tone. Second-

Joe Satriani's stuff from Surfing with the Alien, Crystal Planet, and Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards.
Both Necrophagist albums, and maybe some Three Bad Jacks.

Wow. I just remembered I don't own an axe 2 :lol

If I could somehow get Nuno's tone off Pornographitti and his guitar skills. I also have all the guitar stems from Lamb of God's album Wrath which will be awesome sounding.

Like the broken record I am, my lead tones are already perfect for me, ditto crunch, heavy, clean, acoustic and classical but if the new feature can get me a bass tone like this then the Axe II is worth it's asking price alone ;) Looking forward to losing myself is slap bass oblivion until my thumb is the size of a hamburger.

I'm not joking at all guys. I am going to tone match Celine dion's voice first thing.

I think we are going to get a lot off off the wall interesting stuff. It will be very cool when Axe_Change gets implemented so the sharing can really begin with the ease of use. I was thinking what would happen if you take an acoustic source and tone clone it with different base amps. Could be interesting.
