For what it's worth...

It looks like this morning I received a batch of emails from the forum, whereas until overnight, I've received none for topics that I've sub'ed or liked.

The core SMTP headers show delivery overnight (to Gmail), whereas the "Date: " mail header was back-dated to the date/time.

If anyone was troubleshooting this, then I hope this information is helpful.

that's precisely what we're troubleshooting. I received those too, for threads I had already read in the meanwhile
 
Yea. Email queue was backed up. I fixed it last night and the system churned through all the backlog overnight.

Should be good now. You should be getting your emails from the forum.
