[SOLVED] changing preset names (FM3 F/W 7.0)

was at rehearsal, without my laptop, and modified an existing preset, and saved to a new preset # location.
hit store, moved the value knob to the desired preset #, and looked down to rename.
remembering pg 49 of the most recent (F/W 7.x) manual (below), went to turn the C knob, but it's not lit to change the preset name - only the scenes
in fact knobs C through E are unlit when on the PRESET line.
wondering what i'm missing....

I'm on FW 7.00 and renaming presets works as described above from the manual. Maybe try reinstalling the firmware? Posting a video or pics might be good so we can see what you're seeing and doing.

Works well here. Just make sure you are indeed on the preset line.
