REQ: Acoustic sim presets

DanielRigler

Inspired
Can somebody point me towards some acoustic sim. presets for the II? I assume the increased IR length makes for some great patches.

Semi-Acoustic

Makes my semi-homemade Lester sound almost semi-acoustic.

Needs the two attached IRs to function as designed.

They're freshly converted to Axe II format from the wav format acoustic captures posted by Shawngee/worshipriffs in this thread.

http://forum.fractalaudio.com/user-cabs-irs/29818-fishman-aura-irs-everyone.html

Thanks again for axeomatic & Albert's converter.

Comments & suggestions & improvements welcome.

Levels may be off as I'm still struggling with Axe-Edit picking it's own levels at times.

I'm also still looking for a great string bass capture...

Upload note: The attachment mangler seems to be especially broken today so apologies for the weird file names...

Just made this one this morning using my band's singer's Gibson J-45 acoustic
for comparision. Compare to the semi-acoustic patch above and see what you
think!

You'll need to upload the gtrbody.sysex IR into your user cab files if its not
there already. Install that gtrbody cab IR into the upper row cabinet (or patch
wont work).

Sounds awesome through headphones.

Gibson Flat Tops sounds very good.

I posted another version of that patch I believe tops the one above,
and sounds even more like a real acoustic guitar, on Smilefan's Axe II
Patch Thread (page 9) with a full explanation of its workings. Here is the
new version (you still must install the gtrbody.syx IR in the upper
cab row like the first one).

My intent and goal is to get as acoustic a tone as is possible with a regular electric.

Lately I've mainly been using my Les Paul, but sometimes Fenders.

Some folks are doing the piezo thing as well...

Shiver Clean with appropriate IRs is a great base for a semi-acoustic sound from an electric.

That sounds great! And it sounds great I bet right?

It's getting there.

I stole the PEQ curve from Smilefan's acoustic patch ( sorry :lol ) and that really helps take it the last ten yards.

I'm having editor issues at the moment. When I get them sorted I'll post updates of mine...

Did you ever get this patch uploaded somewhere? I'd really like to check it out.

I'm still reworking my patches after 3.0...

I had a few editor issues that were causing me to have corrupt patches that I didn't want floating around the
community, but with the latest editor the bug that was causing me the grief seems to have been squashed.

I haven't made it to reworking the acoustic ones yet, probably a few weeks...
