Recto Shootout - AX8/Amplitube/Helix Native

+won for the one-derful AX8. And this is with the test subjects matched, which doesn't bring some of the more extended aspects into play: backing off the volume, tone knob, switching pickups etc. With some market leading modelers I had to make a separate patch each for bridge and neck pickup positions to give me the usable result of a real amp. In contrast, I can get all the range of a tube amp and more out of the AX8.

I really hope the first was AX8 as I liked that the most.
2nd one.....hated it....3rd one...well....allright'ish :)

Sounds really really good. Sorry for the dumb question, but I am a newbie at recording, and I am struggling with getting a good lead tone - did you double the lead as well?
That's a single track panned down the center. Double tracked leads can sound great though, Randy Rhoads was famous for doing that. In general they're an exception to the norm.
