Mono to Stereo

Hey guys, until now, I've been running the Axe Fx XL in Mono.

Tonight I tried it in stereo and instantly sounded better straight off the bat.

I wanted to see what your experiences were. The signal has not been modified from the mono send. There are reverbs and other blocks in the chain.

Why did stereo sound better to my ears? Are the reverb sends automatically coming out stereo when you plug the 2nd jack in? :encouragement:

You probably used a stereo effect in your chain without knowing.

If everything is mono, check out if you have any kind of phase inversion in your signal chain (not just the Axe). A phase inverted signal will usually provide a huge stereo image. However, it will lead to headaches (for some people) and has zero mono compatibility, so it's not recommended.
