Metallica tonematches/patches extravaganza v2.0!

Dude, these are insanely good. The best TM's I've heard of anything to date.

Oh, and you absolutely nail these playing-wise. Utterly impressed. :eagerness:

I just finished Load.
This one was a bit more difficult because there was only one track available with the seperate stems (King Nothing).
It still turned out great though!
These tones are a bit 'meatier' and heavyer but they fit the mix very well in those albums.
The King Nothing tone is the most accurate in the clip because I was able to match both kirk and james's Rig.
Enjoy, I like these tones!

It's interesting, I'm not sure of the source of the stems you are using, but on some of these you can definitely here the tone match applied what sounds like the final EQ applied to the mixbus of the entire song.

It's that top end for the mix that normally is applied in post.

It sounds pretty dayum good in these presets when playing against drums and bass though. Like the guitar track has already be tweaked out to sizzle right in the mix.

I know what you mean, it makes the sounds very polished!
I will have a hard time with Death Magnetic though because those mixes have heavy clipping.
The last time I tried that album there was way too much fizz.
I'll probably add some eq on that album to make the sounds a bit better.
Working on Reload now!

I just finished Reload.
This and Load are 2 of my favorite Metallica albums and I love the tones here!
They turned out awesome!

The Unforgiven II was played on a telecaster.
I made the match for my Jim Root tele with EMG81 (bridge position).
Still got some twang in there!
Enjoy!!

You're a tonematching machine!!
Haven't tried these yet but will do, sounds as if they're great by the reviews here...

Yes, love the tones ones Load. It's actually my favourite Metallica album.

Out of interest are there any bass tones in the works?

I think I've wet my pants…
Dude, you’ve got there a few that sounds spot on! :encouragement:
Excellent job, for a few minutes I was back in my teenage time

Just finished all the tones from Garage Inc.
Some of these are absolutely awesome, the Mercyful Fate tones for instance.
The diversity in this batch is great, some are a bit gritty.
The 'So What' tone has quite some fizz (probably caused by the clipping during the mixing or mastering process).
Check em' out here:

Enjoy!
