does the matrix 1000 or q12 sound better than the gt800? had the gt800 ran it thru a bogner oversize 2x12 also tried a ev 112p sounded like a hafler g150 i had in the 90`s steril ..i was using a bogner xtc before

True. But - talking about the CLRs - ....... exhibit a greater linearity and transparency than the Matrix cabs.

Is this just your opinion, or do you have facts to back up that statement?

Good question because IMO regardless of how many powerpoint presentations or charts someone has claiming the world is flat, at the end of the day everything you plug your guitar into adds its own color and tone.

Cab material adds color
Cab size adds color
electronics adds color
Speaker choice adds color
Driver choice adds color
Guitar wood adds color
Cable length adds color
String choice adds color

The list goes on and on and on --- for example when some folks switch to lower capacitance cables -- the common complaint is that it makes their amp sound too bright. Well guess what your amp is bright and you were masking it with a higher cap cable..

At the end of the day the question you have to ask is do you like the tone/color of the "system" you are playing through? If not change items in your "system" until you find the tone/color that floats your boat.
