Can I plug just on speaker cab into one outlet or do I need to be stereo with two cabs all the time? Then into the Matrix power amp do I run stereo mode or parallel mono mode? I just got one and I had not thought about these questions. It seems like folks are running the power amp into one cab.
thanks, Gary

Hi Gary,
You can run just one cab, ( in stereo mode or mono mode, or bridged if your cab has a high enough power rating )

If you a using channel A or B you will need to stay at 4 ohms or above,

You can use mismatched loads on the channels. ie 4 ohms on channel A and 16 ohms on channel B will be fine.

If you are using the bridged output you will need to stay at 8 ohms or above.

Please have a look at some on the information on the FAQ page, F.A.Q. :: Matrix , it will give you an idea of the power you are putting into cabs at different ohmages when the signal lights start to blink etc.

If you have any questions please do feel free to send me an email.

My best regards
Matt

Just found answer on their website
F.A.Q.
Q2. Do I have to connect a load to both outputs ?
A2. No, you can consider the amp as two mono amps whilst the mode switch is set to the stereo position. You can leave the second channel unplugged, or let your bassist play through it.

Time to play
