I'm at a loss = analog reamp ground loop noise

That should work fine for analog reamping. The front and rear instrument inputs both feed the IN 1 block. That's one of the simplest way to reamp analog, but you can use any of the other inputs as long as you set up the grid and your levels correctly. The benefits of the other rear panel inputs is they are balanced, so you can use balanced cables if your sending device has balanced outputs and it will reject any common mode noise picked up in between.

If you put an IN 2 block in parallel with the IN 1 block in your preset, you can send the reamp signal over a balanced XLR cable into Input 2. That might solve your noise issue.

Great idea! Thanks.
