Ibanez az2402 Prestige review + mix demo

Just reading up on this and John Suhr reckons there's no benefit to flat/quarter sawn roasted maple (as with AZ guitars) with regard to stiffness:
Well, I’m just going from experience, but my flat sawn necks are very sensitive to pitch fluctuations when grabbing the neck while playing when compared to quarter sawn necks. And I’m comparing fairly thick flat sawn PRS necks to very thin quarter sawn Ibanez Wizard necks.
