I need someone to run a test for me - (headphone vs output 1 jack)

I just ran a test where I recorded both the 1/4 output from the front headphone jack and another from the rear left 1/4 Output 1. Listen for yourself, the difference is massive on my unit. For anyone who cares I used a Tascam 1641.

I want someone to run the same test and upload the results. Fractal is saying I have a bad headphone board but this way I can make sure before I buy one.

Who said you have a "bad headphone board"? There is no headphone board. Regardless it does sound like something is wrong with the headphone driver chip and you should probably send it in for service.
 
I was emailing Fractal tech support all day today and yesterday. I was told I needed to order a new "headphone and input board" from the Fractal parts store.

1. Headphones
2. Output1
3. Output2

All re-recordings from DAW -> spdif IN Axe-II -> Analog Outs as described back to DAW. I Compensae minimal db differences with normalization to -0.3db on all tracks and export them.

Sounds all identical to me. So, if yours sound different: Confirm and validate that the only change in the whole signal change is the Axes Output. If this is fact and differences keep ...support should help.

OK, maybe I'm missing something here, but isn't that comparing a "stereo" headphone signal with a LEFT only signal - assuming the input was stereo? Should the difference NOT be massive... ???
1/2 of it is missing! No???

what am i listening for in those clips??? one has less bass?

how did you handle the difference in output of a Headphone output and a Line Level output?
