Humbuster Question

So, I'm building my pedalboard and I'm making my own loom and cables. I want to use a single balanced cable (to save on space and money) that splits into the TRS plugs on the Axe side (to take advantage of the Humbuster technology) and into the TS plugs on the pedalboard side. This is for the FX Loop of the Axe. Will this work or nah? Thanks.

No. Humbuster cables need to have two conductors to cancel noise. Humbuster only works on the Axe outputs, so a regular cable can be used for the loop return. You would need a 3 conductor cable to combine the send and return and use humbuster. You can use a balanced cable split to two TS plugs on both ends for the loop, but it won't cancel noise with humbuster.
