Help with Heavy (hardcore/metal) tone

Hey guys, I love this tone and would love it if people could steer me in the right direction for it.

Any ideas on what would be a good starting point for this tone?

ps - 3:05 on, there's no vocals (to help listen to the tone alone, not with vox)
 
remember the guitars are recorded several times too. So the orginal tone could be thin when you get some directions to make the "orginal tone"..
 
I had watched the vid before, and emulated it with the Orange (new) Recto...got sorta close, but still would need some help
