I am getting a severe clipping from AXE-FX III all of a sudden. Also getting a horrible hum that is louder than the guitar playing signal. Not sure what could have caused it.
Below is a video with audio example for reference.
Dont need to do a factory reset when a bunch of other possibilities havent been ruled out.I am going to try replacing cables and a Factory reset. Fingers crossed!
please try what i suggested above. i don't think you need to factory reset.I am going to try replacing cables and a Factory reset. Fingers crossed!
And sometimes, they aren't pushed all way into the jack. I've done that myself. (yikes did I just admit to that)ALWAYS check the cable. Even really good ones can go bad.
Question, why input 3 and not input 2?sounds like a bad cable, bad connection either to the guitar or into the Axe. or potentially a loose Input connection inside the axe.
if you are using the Front input, try the Rear Input 1 as a test (no need to change any settings). or the other way around if you are using the rear.
or you can try Input 3 physical jack, and change the block in the preset to Input 3. if we can isolate things, we can find the source of the issue.
In 3 is just a 1/4" input. In 2 has a special XLR/TRS combo jack. it might be foreign to some people thinking they can't put a 1/4" in there, so i recommend the thing that's familiar.Question, why input 3 and not input 2?
Sounded like it! Glad you got it solved. It was a bad cable. Thank you guys!
