Guitars not tickling the red with v10.06

Hi guys!

Just noticed today that my guitars arent tickling the red on the instrument output meter. It never did with the Strat, but it did with all my other humbucker equipped guitars, now, none will. Trying with bridge pickup on all guitars, pickups are Dimarzios; Paf Classic, D-Activator and X2N7. Its still all sounds beautiful, but just wondering whats up. Anyone has this happening? Tried Instrument In to the max on the I/O and it wont do it.

I think the Axe 1 LED style would be better, if possible: show individual L & R input levels regardless of input mode, instead of (apparently) post-summing and 6 dB level reduction w/ L+R sum. If a signal is almost clipping the A/D converter, shouldn't the red LED light in any mode, and indicate which channel is reaching that level?

P.S. Just noticed input levels affect the grid input balance in a strange way: http://forum.fractalaudio.com/axe-fx-ii-bugs/71080-input-1-l-r-sum.html

I agree but we got literally hundreds of support calls asking why only one column of LEDs would light up.

Could the code be adjusted so the LEDs represent the level after summing but before the -6 dB gain? IOW so whatever would hit red for either channel in stereo mode can still do it in sum L+R mode. That would be more helpful when trying to set input levels.
