Last night on the gig the red and yellow lights on both inputs 1 and 2 came on and stayed on. I turned the unit on and off but same result. Push buttons were responsive but the Value wheel was not. Unit still responded to the MFC for all capabilities and thankfully I finished the gig. Fired it up this afternoon and Preset 3 lights up but the unit does not go through its come to life cycle and is totally unresponsive in every aspect. Will not com with FractalBot.

Suggestions short of sending to Fractal for repair?

Resetting: loading an empty preset on startup
  • Axe-Fx II: hold RECALL while booting. This resets the “edit buffer” and loads an empty preset. It won’t affect any of your saved settings. This can help in case of a corrupt preset.
  • FX: as soon as the “Splash Screen” is displayed, press and hold ENTER to load an empty, initialized preset.


This can be a good way to start, in case the preset that is currently loaded has become corrupt and is borking your controls. You can then load a different preset to try other possibilities.

Good advice. Can't hurt to try it. Though, if it isn't making it through the full boot sequence, this won't help unfortunately. :(
