i'm not sure a clean boost is what you want to get the kind of jazz tone the OP is looking for if he's talking about henriksen and polytone...

While I too would love the convenience of some of the most popular solid state straight-ahead jazz targeted amps authentically modeled, I'm finding much to explore in the "ideal" tab of many different amps that makes me smile. Cheers all, Daniel
